  • Dom, ever heard anything like "the rights of the minority shall not be voted on by the majority?" If the South had voted on Integration, the South would still be segregated. You cannot vote on rights. You cannot take someone else's rights away from them by voting on them.

  • Ted, aren't you glad you do not have to marry someone that is of the same sex, just as a gay person does not have to marry someone of the opposite sex. I would imagine they feel its just as gross to marry someone of the opposite sex.

  • My brother is a very conservative right wing Evangelical. He mentioned once, "The only reason gays want to get married is so they can get social security off their partner's earnings". WTF? I told him, "leaving sex of the partner out of it, your wife has put up with you for almost 40 years.

  • When there is a lot of cattle manure around the water supply, nitrates get into the water. Nitrates can kill a newborn baby and make a toddler very sick and unhealthy. Due to all of the Hog farms in NW Iowa, there are several towns near here where there are lots of nitrates in the water.

  • I just wish once and for all, that people would get the difference between witchcraft and "weird cult that has weird ideas that have no basis in fact." Wiccans or Witches are in no way connected with this story. This is an African story and idea having no basis to the word witch.

  • I'm a 20 year hospice and nursing home nurse. And believe me when i say there are things worse than death. On Hospice, in the US they are beginning to understand that if we cannot get rid of the pain, we cannot euthanize anyone, of course, but we can "allow them to sleep" until they go.

  • I know how it feels. I had to put down my lab with cancer two weeks ago. Its the roughest part of being a dog or cat lover. but when its their time, I go right in there with them, and pet them until they go. That's my job. That's what I do because I don't want them to hurt.
